Another mysterious magical girl named Homura Akemi tries to prevent Madoka from agreeing to the contract.

The subsequent year has begun. Mikihiko has been elevated to Course 1, Tatsuya has entered the new Magical Engineering Course, and inconvenience is preparing between Saegusa Mayumi's more youthful twin sisters and first year agent Shippou Takuma, an individual from the 18 Assistant House's Shippou Household.

One such setting is the "Nine Schools Battles", officially called The National Magic High School Good Will Magic Competition. Every year, the best Magic High School students gather together, unfolding a story of frustration and glory by putting their young pride on the line.

Miyuki was designated the heir at the Yotsuba New Year's celebration, while Tatsuya was named her fiancé. The public is now aware of Tatsuya and Miyuki's non-sibling relationship and engagement. Students that knew the siblings are the most stunned among the others. n July 2096, the late spring occasion of the year for the public wizardry secondary school rivalry, known as the "Nine Schools Competition" will be held. Anyway the guidelines for this "Nine Schools Competition" are not the same as earlier years. One month before the "Nine Schools Competition", critical changes in the standards and occasions were made which constrained every one of the public sorcery secondary schools to be occupied as of recently of the opposition. While Tatsuya is anticipating the following "Nine Schools Competition", a mysterious message is conveyed. The message contains data that another plot will happen during the "Nine Schools Competition". While the opposition is occurring, Tatsuya goes through the dull timberlands of Fuji, to go against the scheme of selling out. The second Year of the "Nine Schools Competition" has started.
